About Jeffersontown, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

A home rule-class city in southeastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, Jeffersontown has an estimated population of more than 26,700 residents. It is major suburb of the city of Louisville and remained an independent city when the Louisville Metro government was formed in 2003. Jeffersontown is the metropolitan area’s third largest municipality outside Louisville’s city limits.

Founded in the late 1700s, Jeffersontown served as a stop-off point for early pioneers and emigrants on their way to the Falls of Ohio located at Louisville. Farmers started to cultivate the area, and while the constant threat of Indian attacks loomed, the pioneer spirit persisted and more settlers arrived to live here.

In 1794, 122 acres of land was purchased by Abraham Bruner with the intention of establishing a new town. Business owners quickly acquired plots from Bruner and set up their own shops along Market and Main streets. The square soon emerged as the hub of activity with potters, hotels, blacksmiths and various other pioneers.

Jeffersontown was officially incorporated as a city in 1797, and named to honor the vice president of that time Thomas Jefferson.  As of today, Jeffersontown has everything one could hope for in a city, boasting world-class civic amenities and its own Parks and Recreation system that includes sports complexes, swimming pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, and more.

The city is served by the finest in police and fire protection and is particularly known for its thriving business climate. Blugegrass Commercial Park - the largest in the State of Kentucky - is globally renowned for its vitality, strength and size. Furthermore, as the city is bordered by three major commercial corridors, retail activity of all kinds is available to the residents.

When it comes to education, the city of Jeffersontown is served by the Jefferson County Public Schools, which encompasses five elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Archdiocese of Louisville also serves the city, while a private school provides private schooling opportunities to the students of Jeffersontown.

The city receives 47 inches of rainfall and 19 inches of snowfall per year. With the average high in the summer season around 88 degrees, having a well-running air conditioning system will keep your home at the perfect temperature. Moreover, since the mercury drops as low as 26 degrees in the winter season, a heat pump would allow you to maintain comfort while conserving energy.
